What did you do to Your Sportster Today?
Decided to try the barons 2" white faced led teach so I could take my power vision off of the bike.did a 60 mile shake down test to see how it would do.it did great.the mount it comes with is what I was skeptical about.also the winged portion of the bolt that holds my air cleaner came off couple weeks back during a ride.
wanted a cleaner look and didnt want it to keep taking abuse from vibes..too expensive.plus now with the higher gearing on the interstate,i dont have to worry about high head temps or high oil temps.plus i love the look of the barons tach.now i have chrome instead of black plastic.

Finally took it out after the 20 year northeast winter, somehow every bolt on my derby cover came loose and gave a leak. Tried fixing that, keeping an eye to see if it's still seeping. Also looks like my rear rocker box gasket is going (which was replaced by a shop some years ago), but hoping it'll make it through this season.

Took it out of the garage for the first time since November, washed it, then rode* the hell out of it!
*It sat in a garage, covered, with a batter tender on it all winter and a full tank of gas with Sta-Bil in it. Despite all that, it took a few tries to get it started. The first couple of times, I could hear the fuel pump pressurize: it was kind of loud/didn’t sound very smooth. I could hear any clicking or anything, and no codes were thrown. So I turned the pump switch again and the pump pressurized much more smoothly, but the engine just didn’t want to start. So I waited :30, hit the pump switch again, and kept holding it down. It started, and the rpm went kind of high, maybe 1500-1600 until it settled down after maybe another :30. I purposely made a couple of stops along my trip today, and the bike started with zero problems. I’ll keep an eye on it, and I’ll put a voltage meter on it before I go ride next weekend. I’m also thinking that maybe a little water got someplace where it wasn’t supposed to when I washed it this morning.
