Was in our local Harbor Freight, and saw they had their tire changer AND the MC adapter, a discontinued item, on display. I think I am going to pick it up tomorrow. Thought about building one about the same level, but doubt I would do it as well. Am just finishing up my miter saw stand, and it was a lot more work than I thought it would be, lol. Lesson learned.

Well, nothing earth-shattering but I did stuff that needed doing.
1) I Replaced the speedo & tach bracket that broke on my last ride last year. Pretty easy job, but took awhile as I had never done that one before. Finding the bracket in black was a chore.
2) I added a taller sissy bar. The original was only 8" and not tall enough to attach luggage to. I bought a used 11" bar off EBay for $38 shipped, which I was really happy to get because for the pre-04 bikes these are hard to find.
It didn't have the backrest pad, so the mounting plate was exposed. After some searching, I found an OEM HD auto stick-on emblem that fits perfectly; I think it looks pretty cool. Not worried about passengers, so don't need the pad. Luggage is now secure, so longer rides are in the plans!
Bar with sticker:
Sticker from HD:
New Saddleman bag on the right, and new Nelson-Rigg tail bag on the rack. I had been using a rollbag on the rack the last couple years (see sig pic), but the Nelson bag holds more, looks much better, and most importantly it opens from the top. The roll bag opens from the side so if you forget to zipper it all the way closed, you lose stuff. Don't ask......

Decided to try the barons 2" white faced led teach so I could take my power vision off of the bike.did a 60 mile shake down test to see how it would do.it did great.the mount it comes with is what I was skeptical about.also the winged portion of the bolt that holds my air cleaner came off couple weeks back during a ride.
tcbros warranted it out for me.great peeps.so when the new one came in,I decided to try and separate the two using a 9mm 12 point 3/8" socket to fit underneath the wing.then put a washer on the other end with a nut.I then began to tighten nut until the bolt head came out of the wing.same principal as a steering wheel puller.worked great.I then put jb weld in the cap and pressed back in.no more worries with that.just in case anyone else gets that intake.I recommend to do this before instal...Also my custom brass pegs and points cover came in.couple of pics.beginning of ride at the pump, yes a little gas dripped out on the lean from the over flow hose to take the pic...and then after ride pic.
