Need a little bit of color, and nothing's better than Superior Blue...

They might require a larger rotor too. That'd be an 'opportunity' to switch
to a nice floating rotor....

good luck,

T.
Then I'd have to find a matching rear caliper. You like spending my money don't you. Besides, I just mounted up the polished rotors last spring.

However, 02-966 works for 2013 & older Sportsters 15" rotor application....

SO - not sure what to say other than if you want 14" rotors then go for it.

good luck,

T.
Found it in the web archive.

Ok, so it's a 15" rotor, not a 14". At least it appears to be valid, so
go4it it that is what you want....

good luck,

T.

I had a 2008 883 in Pacific Blue Pear (close to that color, judging from your pics). I liked it, but I've since fallen in love with black again. We're on different paths to the same destination, ha!

I’ve ridden in much colder weather in the past - like riding over the snow covered Alps - but today with the wind chill factor it was -11c (12f) and I felt frozen. Maybe I’m getting soft as I'm getting older? It felt like my face was being cut off with a knife and my finger tips were in a vice. Lovely lol

During last couple weeks I feel something strange with the chassis. It somehow feels like waving in curves, and kind of skidding when accelerating and changing lanes. Strange, I don't have some crazy racing build which skids on any throttle opening.
I spoke with H-D mechanic, he supposed that it is because of tires are aging (2 years old stock Scorchers).
When I had similar (and more explicit) effect on my previous bike, it was caused by worn out silent blocks in rear shocks. But that bike was hardly beaten by Ukrainian roads, while Sportster runs on perfect roads of Abu Dhabi. I am puzzled with this.

Check your rear wheel bearings. I had similar symptoms, and my bearings were trashed.

Should they audibly crackle or whine when running in bad order? I will try to listen carefully tomorrow.

A few years back I had an issue with a bike feeling like what you're describing. In long sweeping curves the bike felt like I was riding on rain grooves, just a slight wiggle to it. Never felt anything in a straight line. My best guess was the steering head bearings were loose.

Ended up having a dealer's 'tire specialist' look and ride the bike, ended up being a strange wear pattern in the tire. The tires were Pirelli Route 66 tires, and he told me they had seen problems with that tire running at recommended pressures. He said to run them 2-4 lbs above that and the tire would wear better and not cause the symptoms I was having. He was right, I replaced the tire with a new Pirelli and ran it at the pressures he recommended and never had that issue again.

I'm on my 3rd set of Scorchers and I've never had any problems with them though...
