yep mate ! That’s a “sari or saree” guard all right. The fact of the matter is not a whole ton of ladies wear those and sit pillion on the Harleys. These are mandatory for all bikes sold as quiet a few ladies sit on the commuter bikes which make up a bulk of bike sales in India.
as for the pieces of stray clothing and machinery - I have seen it first hand when taking my aunt to run some errands. Thankfully she was ok ,just the tail end of the veil got rogered .

Love the word, rogered. We don't use it in America.

Sounds like it's time for the female Harley riders to go Jeans and jacket, lol. That would really suck, to have your clothes get caught, could make for a nasty experience.

what you need to understand is that India is a country with extremes- the ladies sitting on Harleys or other bikes are well kitted with their riding gear while the ultra traditional female passengers are attired in sarees and assorted attire. And then you have these badass ladies

Pics are open source from news feeds and such. The saree guard is for these garments.

Yea I see the need for the guards. India is an interesting country for certain. I see pictures and video of some unreal stuff balanced on two wheels. Pretty amazing at times

Well, tomorrow is the day: clutch pack replacement day! The place I ordered from ran out of the Kevlar Barnett Extra Plate Clutch Pack, so they sent me the carbon fiber version.

The frictions are now soaking in Red Line 75w90 (Jesus this stuff stinks). Here’s hoping that I get the adjustment right the first time tomorrow, as I know that extra plate kits can be fussy with easy-pull ramps like my Mueller Power Clutch. Maybe the new throw out bearing can mitigate the grabbiness of it a little? Here’s hoping!

One week since I flashed the ECU with Stock Improved firmware by PowerVision. So far so good, tried it both in city and on highways.

I am a lot different than many folks, in that I go for deep tone of my exhaust, and really prefer quiet. I like it loud enough to be heard by cars I am passing, but not too loud. The nice thing about the PV, is no matter what mods you have, the Auto tune will make it better. On my sporty, I would run AT, flash the new tune, then a few days later, repeat. I did this about 6-7 times. The only mods I did was a Screaming eagle intake, and my modified stock pipes.

When I picked up my Ultra, the dealer agreed to store my sporty for a few days, so I could come back with my truck and trailer to pick it up. Was a 150 mile drive one way. When he went to where it was parked, and rode it to the back the service entrance, he was wide eyed, and said I have never seen a sportster with that instantaneous of take off, and wanted to know how it got that way, so I told him.

The PV is amazing, really.

The stock sportster pipes can be made to sound pretty darn amazing, to me anyway.

Good luck with yours.
