of those chrome oil/battery side covers now too don't you?
On the brake line, you may have to just 'make one yourself' using
a CHROME block that takes the pressure switch with other outlets taking a
generic CHROME screw on hose end and CHROME banjo at the caliper....

I have removed the spring plate from the clutch and modified it by using the damper spring seat, clutch spring and narrow friction plate from the XR1200 and changed the release bearing for a *** 7200.
The XR1200 parts replace the first fibre plate which is then along with two new steel plates used to replace the spring plate.
The spring plate had just a small amount of movement that I expect is there else it wouldn't work and all the friction plates had next to no wear on them after nearly 18,000 miles.
Did around 16 miles to warm things up. On first use I got way more of a "clunk" going into gear. Hopefully that will go back to normal after oil has fully circulated. I tend not to do fast starts but didn't notice any squeal.
A chrome machine! Not trying to teach granny to suck eggs but I have found after spending plenty of time getting the wheels plus all the other chrome nice and shiny a coat of high temperature sealant keeps them that way and makes washing much easier.
I guess any good automotive wax will do the same job. I use Finish Kare BMW 101 - BWM 101: Hi-Temp Paste Wax - Finish Kare

Just placed an order with New Castle HD for a chrome swingarm, new bearings and retaining rings.

Used to be plenty of places to get them custom made, some NAPA stores may still make them, though check where the hot rod and 4x4 offroad guys get parts in your area or where they make fork lift hydraulic hoses. I worked a few years where we had all of the equipment to make different hydraulic hoses for the forklifts, semis and equipment, including braided steel brake lines.

Rear Shocks
Replaced the Progressive 412 rear shocks with Ohlin 906's. I wouldn't have believed that there could be so much difference, especially since the Ohlins have about an inch less stroke than the Progressive. Howard at Motorcycle Metal was great - helped me choose a shock and set them up. Oh, and he gives a discount to Harley Davidson Forum members too.
