Took a ride to Eureka Springs. The Bikes, Blues & Barbecue event in Fayetteville, AR was canceled this year, so my dealer, Pig Trail HD, sponsored a substitute, only without the barbecue. Rogers was a zoo, and so was Eureka Springs, but there were lots of friendly folks out on the highways. My new Sporty now has 225 miles on it.

Black paint will eventually flake off and look a mess, can't you get hold of chemically blackened stainless steel hardware locally?
I sell them here in the UK for Sportster models, I do a Sportster full engine covers kit in black stainless for £50.00.
My own Iron 883 has black stainless hardware all over it, they'll never tarnish or corrode, they'll last the life time of my machine.
