I winterized the bike. Supposed to snow tomorrow night. It will have to sit until May, when the snow is gone.

I went ahead and installed the stainless steel throttle cables yesterday evening. I was bored and it did cool off..some...

I got the front brake line installed this morning BEFORE it started to heat up. I had to slit, remove and reuse the rubber grommets from the stock brake line as the ones that came on the stainless steel line were to small in diameter to fit the p-clamps. The shop I bought it from told me I might have to do that.

Took quite a while to get all the air out of the system, finally let is sit and bumped the caliper with my fist a few times to get the remaining air bubbles out. Took 4-5 times of doing that to get nothing but fluid coming out when bleeding it.

Took the bike out for a short shake down ride afterwords, all is good.

Now the struggle is going to be finding a stainless steel rear brake line, since Drag Specialties doesn't offer one.

You dont have to have a 'picture hosting service' anymore - you can upload now. The pic can be
uploaded from your local PC.

I installed the Sportster Slimline Smart Signal Stabilizer for Harley-Davidson (customdynamics.com) so the LED signals have normal flash now and changed the front signal lenses back to amber, I might order some clear and see if I like those.

Good luck. I bought Hel stainless brake lines and I also wanted one for the rear. Hel doesn't have the rear either. The issue is the integrated rear brake light switch. Hel said they could provide the line but not the switch integration. The work-around sounded like a pain in the ***, so I just stuck with the OEM line.

I have a different master cylinder on a bike here that has a direct pipe to the rear brakes. The brake switch is the banjo bolt - M10 x 1.25mm Hydraulic Brake Light Pressure Switch Honda Kawasaki Suzuki Yamaha 5034862352989 | eBay
