That six-speed tranny is what I miss most about my Dyna.

These ones - 08-10 HARLEY SPORTSTER 1200 Custom Red Right Side Fuel Gas Petrol Tank Medallion - £28.86 | PicClick UK are $70 a side but in the UK they are £90 a side.

Worth plenty to sell in the second hand market.

So I've been chasing an issue; particularly when it's really hot out (or when the bike feels like it) I'd get what sounds like detonation on WOT and when giving extra throttle uphill. The previous owner said they had the bike tuned, however I do not have any record of that nor a tuner. Being on a budget, I'm starting cheap, I replaced the NGK iridium plugs with OEM Harley ones (read somewhere that Sportsters don't respond as well to NGKs, but don't have solid proof), replaced the wires with SE 10mm, and finally, added some DK Customs TTI's into the short shot style exhaust. The bike does seem to have a better response, and getting into first gear feels smoother. The harsh exhaust sound is also gone. Hopefully this fixes the occasional detonation as well, otherwise I'll probably have to invest in my own tuner...

What year sporty do you have? I only ask because if it is 2014 or newer, I have a DK Customs XLVIAD14 that you can have for the price of shipping.

Mine's a 2008, would these still work? I understand they just enrich the mixture a notch?

Bummer. This particular version is for 2014 and up. I don’t know if it will work on an 08. But if you want to contact DK Customs, you can ask. If you want to try, they are just in a cabinet doing me no good.

Dropped mine off for new Michelin Commander IIIs to be installed. The Pirelli Route 66 rear had 13,000 miles to the wear bars and still did good through the rain and flooded roads to get to the the indy shop, the front had a great deal of tread left still.

Installed my new nice and shiny H-D LOUD horn on my Iron 883, it's supposed to be 3 dB louder than the stock horn. It's certainly louder than the pathetic item that's fitted as stock.

The H-D part number is 69000009, the chrome version is 69000007.
