When I changed my first battery, I got a longer cable (cheaper at the Harley dealer than Auto Zone and with the right size terminals!), and instead of running it into the back side of the battery box, looped it around to the left side, so I can pull the battery out and disconnect it instead of that grounding point on the engine case and pulling the cable through the backside of the battery box, real pita to reach on mine. Have to tie it down on the left side, but that's just a simple matter of 2 or 3 tie wraps. You'd have to look close to see it's not the factory layout.
Very good idea. That's what I plan to do on my Sportster as well.
Got out and enjoyed the nice hot humid sunny day. After about an hour or so I decided it was time to stop and grab something to drink and find some shade.
I’ve been riding since 2014, and I got my 1st ticket yesterday on my 48. Meh, it was bound to happen. And it wasn’t even speeding (using the center turn lane to pass two slow cars without turning left afterwards).
