I'm working on a bit of "de-chroming". I love my chrome, but the 1200 came with a bit too much. I'm trying out Plasti Dip on a couple parts. Doing this along with some routine maintenance. Pics to follow when I'm done.
At least it's something to do on these wet, cold, miserable days lately.

Stay strong everyone! Spring is coming!

Good call on the seat. Looks good.

So true. I said something similar to my friend, then it was slip-ons, then it was this and that lol. This site surely provides great ideas and motivation lol

Changed my transmission oil. While I was at it I replaced my clutch cover which was scarred from a driveway incident that we shall not speak of.

Don't you love it? We buy it because it is perfect and then we start changing it as soon as we get it because it isn't perfect. Human nature.

I hear you... This bike being the least expensive bike Harley Davidson made (Streets not included) it had practically zero chrome on it, most parts painted black. I just made it more perfect...

Rode to the dealership where I coach for our riding academy. Realized, like most times, mine is the only Sportster on the lot. Almost every bike on our lot is a bagger, with a few naked Softails and Dynas.

This thread makes me think part of the reason is that we do a lot of our own maintenance. Not sure.

Like reading this thread, I get ideas from walking the lot, especially on event days. Most people just see The Motorcycle. Some of us see the parts of the motorcycle. It's a super power.
