What did you do to Your Sportster Today?
Progress...New Burly narrow Apes, new black levers, new master cylinder, new front signals with Custom Dynamics ProBeam inserts on the HD relocation kit to the fork, new rear signals with Custom Dynamics ProBeam inserts, new Drag LED taillight, DK Customs coil, and ignition relocation kit, all wires wrapped and plastic housings removed, new OEM license plate bracket. Waiting on grips and those plastic tank tab covers to finish up.
I really like the way the wire wrap and tank lift cleaned up under the tank, the bike looks the way it should now IMHO.

I ordered the blacked out version of this brand of horn the other day. Has anyone tried to install on of these on their sporty before? It may not work, in which case I’ll just take a $60 hit, but having a decent horn seemed like a good investment if I can find a way to make it fit.

Boy that brings back memories. When I was in Junior high school, ('66) our neighbor had a 500 Scrambler, that had been bored to 650. Every winter, this guy stripped it down to the frame, and painted it a different color. This was in Newark Ohio, and he did it in an 8x8' shed. He used heat lamps to cure the paint.
He told me the scrambler, had extra low 1st and 2nd gears but had Bonnie normal 3-4. I loved the sound of that bike when he would ride off. The Triumph was the first bike to put HD on notice, in the racing world.
Those bars look really odd on that bike.

Yea I get the poverty part. In the early 70's I was part of NATO in western Europe, things were pretty depressed, but I was a soldier living on $300 USD a month.
That is a cool pic. Color even. All my pics were black n white, so I could develop them myself. Is that the 500 single? Funny thing about the poverty. Bikes in those days (a new 1973 CB450 I bought was $1200j. were cheap, and those same bikes in original condition, will fetch 4-5 times their original price.
I would love to have one of those old style bike in that setup. Makes me wonder about a Royal Enfield. Just no dealers or support anywhere near me, for them.
