What did you do to Your Sportster Today?
After installing my *** 7200B clutch throw out/release bearing, my clutch lever pull was smoother and lighter. The only other change I made at the time was replacing the spring plate (aka grenade plate) with three stock plates which should not have made a difference in the clutch lever pull. That was 10K miles ago and the clutch pull is still just as smooth and light.

Took the front end apart so I can take it to the shop to have the chrome sliders, monotubes, and new tire installed next week.
Ran into a snag though, the Superbrace fork brace won't fit on the chrome sliders, it appears HD put around a .010" layer of chrome on them. The stock sliders measure 2.443", and the chrome one's measure right at 2.461". Bummer...
I bought the sliders back in July and wondered if this was going to be a problem. At that time I contacted Superbrace about whether it would fit or not, they said "it should, and if not they could machine the brace to make it fit". Guess I'll be giving Superbrace a call Monday.

I ordered the blacked out version of this brand of horn the other day. Has anyone tried to install on of these on their sporty before? It may not work, in which case I’ll just take a $60 hit, but having a decent horn seemed like a good investment if I can find a way to make it fit.

Well first off, welcome. And second, I hope you have a strong grip. A quick hand full of throttle would have most sliding off the back of the seat. Sounds likes a beast.

Boy that brings back memories. When I was in Junior high school, ('66) our neighbor had a 500 Scrambler, that had been bored to 650. Every winter, this guy stripped it down to the frame, and painted it a different color. This was in Newark Ohio, and he did it in an 8x8' shed. He used heat lamps to cure the paint.
He told me the scrambler, had extra low 1st and 2nd gears but had Bonnie normal 3-4. I loved the sound of that bike when he would ride off. The Triumph was the first bike to put HD on notice, in the racing world.
Those bars look really odd on that bike.

Suspension Stuff
I was looking for more travel and control so I:
I installed some longer rear shocks.
Installed some longer damper rods and replaced my fork seals and bushing, used Screaming Eagle Heavy Oil
Test ride proves mechanical work is sound.
Rear is more stiff for sure, I do have some SAG front and rear.
Didn't eliminate brake dive but that is OK for now.
I am open to questions
Tracker Die Damper rods
The new Damper Rode gave an extra 2 inches
HD Premium Emulsion shocks from a 2016 Roadster

Got out for a ride on Saturday. No issues starting, thankfully. Good hour and a half ride. The extra cold weather layers did help, but eventually did still get chilled through the vent zippers in my leather and my finger tips, even with the glove inserts and extra torso layer. Kludging a windbreaker layer between the leather and liner shouldn't be too tough, but I still have to find better options for my hands for below 48F.
Bike ran like a champ, though. That's good at least.
