Installed my Biltwell Chumps today. Such a better ride when you are sitting comfortably!

Not today, but yesterday; I removed the lowering blocks.
IMHO, was too low & just killed cornering clearance. I
scrapped up the lower muffler end on one corner, so enough
of that lowering crap...

I tried them, too, and didn't like them. Besides the minimal cornering clearance, the ride was rougher like I was riding on corrugated pavement. The shallower angle of my shocks didn't agree with the overall geometry and I felt every bump in the road. It was very much like the 2020 Iron 1200 demo I tried out last week which had a far worse ride than my current 2005 standard Sporty with mid-controls. I ended up "lowering" my bike by simply getting a thinner Mustang saddle which was the "Goldilocks choice".

"Mine" (actually was the OL & now she dont wanna ride) has about the lowest seat I could find (for her, vertically challenged).
So for me its not about seat height, but I'll have to admit I like the "looks" of the Mustang Cyclone seat, just dont expect
to win an Iron Butt Challenge using it. Here's an older pic of it...

Hooked up this morning with a buddy I grew up with, and rode over to The Moonshine Store in Moonshine,IL for one of their 'Moonburgers' with cheese & bacon. Moonshine is out in the middle of BFE, but it's worth the trip!

We got there just in time, because it began to get busy right after we placed our order. Some sweet cars pulled in across the road, this yellow Ford was the nicest IMO with the blown Flathead. The Riviera was really nice too though...

We stopped in Paris, IL on the way home to grab a drink, it was a hot one today!

Ended up being a 260 mile trip, as I said it was hot but we had a great time of it.

Man that is some quality work on the yellow Ford. Never seen a flat head with a blower on it before.
