Thats a nice view of the bridge. Funny thing was I NEVER see toll roads, so fortunately I had enough cash on me on our ride to Ft. Bragg last summer. Just got through reading a book about a racer chick that visited 49 states on her FZ07 "adventure" bike, and she was shocked at how many toll roads she ran into in the north east US. Said that was the most expensive leg of the entire trip.
When I came home from that trip I came the 101 and got to practice lane splitting, a lot, in Oakland, lol. Someone needs to remind them freeways are not parking lots.
Yep, way better today. The air quality was around 50 this morning. I've got caught up in those tolls too lol. I finally put my MC plates under my fastrak. Especially with all these "express lanes" popping up now. Crazy traffic around here in the bay. It was nice a couple months ago when no one was driving but it has kinda gone back to normal. I commute into the city (SF) once in a while on the bike, sometimes I'm lane spitting from the Berkeley area all the way into the city.

Yea I split about 15 miles on that trip. Glad I was on 2 wheels instead of 4.

Well boomerguy glad you are all fixed up.

Did you get to keep the old parts to see what was wrong with them?

No, I should have. I did ask what I should do for preventive maintenance, like using brake cleaner or whatever, and they said since my system takes Dot 5 brake fluid, corrosion would not be a factor. They said just riding it regularly should take care of it and flush the brake lines @ 10K intervals. I believe the fact that the previous owner let it sit in the garage for 10 years was the issue. I put more miles on this bike in the last year than the total miles that were on it when I bought it. It's a 2005 model, so that should speak for itself. At least the bike is safer now and I will be able to do my own disc pad changes in the future. All is well.

Boomerguy
I think his advice was spot on. Ride it, use it and maintain it.

Just picked up a used Mustang Touring Solo seat from eblah and a set of Biltwell Chumps. Hopefully the rain will hold of this weekend to test out the new RK shocks and seat combo. Bars will be installed as more parts come in.

Lost my clutch release bearing, what a bitch getting home. Stuck in 2nd gear, break till it would stall at lights, and hit the starter until she gets going. $15.00 fix though. Got it ordered
