It's a great initiative, nothing in the media of course, bikers tend to do things like this without shouting about it. (Volunteer Riders UK)

Guys, how long do you usually let your bike to cool down before washing? On carwash I wait about 20-25 minutes, I doubt is it enough.
Also carwashes are terrible, scratching every time more, as they use the same rag or sponge for everything, and not keeping 'from up to down' order.

Installed
1. Cobra Speedster 909 black pipes
2. Roland Sands Air Cleaner
3. V&H FP3 Fuelpak
4. DAylighter Headlamp
5. Front and rear bullet LED indicators
6. Swing arm bag
Now all I need is to get out of lockdown so that I can ride it and see if the FP3 canned map is good or whether I need to auto tune

One of the most beautiful bikes I ever saw was an old Big Twin that matched the old guy who got off it to go into a country restaurant off the beaten path. The bike's paint had patina, the leather saddle was very worn and the old guy had old, worn riding clothes and his wrinkles and sun tan were his patina. I could tell his bike had been with him for a very long time and was spiritually a part of him. I wish I had the chance to talk to him and take a picture. His lady passenger matched him and the bike in age and patina and wrinkles. They would have made a great poster for dedicated bikers. They didn't have the biker gang look, just the look of people who used this as their primary, and probably only, transportation. This is the kind of motorcycle imagery that gets my attention much quicker than something shiny with lots of bling. It was late fall and snow flurries were flying around us. They didn't even notice. If I'd had the chance to talk to him, my first questions would include how long had he owned it, how many miles were on it, how many times did he overhaul or rebuild it.
I once met a guy in a campground who was a medical doctor on vacation and he was traveling across the country on an old BMW R/ series that he said was older than he was. Instead of hotels, he carried camping gear and traveled the secondary roads so he could enjoy scenery. Once again, no camera, but I did get to talk to him. His bike was obviously restored or reconditioned because it had beautiful paint, but still it was dirty from being used as primary transportation and as a mule for all his camping gear. Cool stuff.
