No I didn't have much trouble with mine..... Lucky l was close to the house when It broke.
But I had to do half one day, (can't work these days like I used to, Or maybe it was getting dark, I don't remember)
But I left the cable laying on the ground, and the next day had a small bit of primary fluid on the ground.................LOL......Automatic clutch cable lube system)

Wasn’t too difficult, just annoying not having it on a lift. And we drank a 12 pack while we did it.

Covid-19 Lockdown - Polish, Run the engine, Admire, don't ride!

06 April 2020 - Tomorrow I was going to be flying to Chicago to pick up a bike at Eagle Riders and do Route 66, all 2,400 miles of it. Really looking forward to it until this Corona Virus hit the world.
Thank you very much China for screwing up my holiday!

Default Cleaning the new to me 06 Roadster

Just bought this 2006 Roadster. It lived near the beach and cosmetically neglected. Chrome rusty all over. Found out aluminum foil and white vinegar is the solution to use. Also found a K&N air filter under the stock cove had to be cleaned. So been polishing, cleaning for a week.

David Rose,
Man that sucks. I am sure your story is one of about 10 million others, sadly. Would have been nice to ride with ya when you got near the end. I live in CA and Rt66 goes right through the little town I live in, about 30 miles from the Pacific. Maybe next year.

Got out and visited a couple of friends' houses both days this weekend thanks to the glorious weather. Chatted a bit from appropriate distance. That was nice. Most of these folks are more cooped up than I am, AND having much more severe work/income loss, so hopefully a friendly face helped cheer them up, if from a 10 to 20 foot distance.

Mostly great riding, apart from a couple of things coming loose at the beginning of each ride. First day was left mirror stem nearly falling off. Fortunately I threw my leatherman in my swingarm bag, so I was able to get that tightened back down. Now if the actual mirror part would stay put during my rides so that I don't have to keep readjusting it while riding. Yesterday was more annoying when my left peg kept rotating when I shifted. Had to stop a couple of times to try to re-tighten it. Finally flipped it "up" to use it for its own leverage to crank it down. No more movement after that.

The part-loosening vibration is definitely getting tedious. If I ever get time and inclination to wrench again (I do still have that new intake that needs installation), I'll try to loctite that crap so I don't have to keep fussing with it when I just want to ride.
