Nothing too super intense going on over here on my end, just ordered the DK Outlaw 587, with black breather bolts so I figured I would do a little painting while I waited to get my parts in to replace the stock AC.

Used 220, 320, 400 pack of sand paper to sand down the metals and paint on both the autometer and the headlight bezel/trim. Then just rattle canned it. Rustoleum flat black metal primer, and flat black paint, followed by krylon fusion flat clear coat.

Should have taken a picture of the painting process but essentially I suspended both pieces by small 8 inch bungee cords that I don't need hooked them in their respective holes and sprayed them floating in the air so nothing would touch them or I wouldn't leave finger prints on them. Felt slightly rubbery after about 8 hours of the final clear coat going on its now been probably about 24 hours and feels to have hardened up some more, hopefully it lasts well. Ridden around town and to and from work with no issues on the surface of the paint so far. And here's the pictures because a thread is worthless without pictures
