Default Highway pegs idea, enjoy

So I thought I would share a cheap and very easy mod which works great,
I enjoy my mid controls but wanted high pegs or maybe forward controls but on doing a little research found not many options for highway pegs without an engine bar or costing the earth for forward controls*
I happened to have a pair of highway pegs in the garage so went about thinking of ways to mount them as I want to be able to move the pegs into any hight or position,
I started with some copper pipe, cardboard and sticky tape!
I then had this made at the metal works place for the Hugh sum of £5 and rounded the corners off and drilled 4 holes
I then painted and mounted to bike
Amazing how it feels riding down the motorway legs out stretched*
Hope it gives someone an idea or two

Clever idea! Since I already got forward controls I tend to do the opposite to change leg position, I "stretch out" using the passenger pegs

See that you got some kind of black fork cover. Got any pics of that? And where are they from? Seen different ones one ebay from various UK companies.

Yes it was a 12mm steel bar, think the plates were 5mm thick

Ha ha ha yeah they are really expensive fork covers, they are in fact black plastic rain water down pipe (think its 63mm wide outside) from hardware store called B&Q, came in a 2.5 meter length and cost £7, used a hacksaw to cut them, you might need to look in the rack for an unmarked length
You would never know to look at it, hope that helps

Hey, good job on this mod. Looks good!!!!

For others that might want to stretch out with some highway pegs, but don't have the shop or time to do what the OP did, you can check out this LINK to see our adjustable highway peg setup.

Those mounts from DK look pretty good too. Somehow my christmas list keeps getting longer and I am sure it's my own pocket that's gonna get lighter... THANKS ALOT!!!
