Auto-cancelling signals appeared in 1991 on Sportsters.

Also they offer modules that will allow you to use LED without having to use load equalizers if you ever want to upgrade your lighting.
But like has been said, your turn signal function is normal for that year.

2005 sporty triked and self cancelling signals
Ok. Gonna take this in the opposite direction. I have a 2005 sporty xl1200 that I have triked ( Frankenstein ). My problem is this... my bike no longer banks enough to cancel the signals. Is there a way to change it over to human cancel or do I work with what I have??

Read the previous threads, there are aftermarket modules from Badlands and others that will do what you want. No need to compromise!
