Default Please explain benefits of new ignition module

I kinda hijacked another thred on this so figured I would ask for info here. I have an 09 sporty low. Has a SE heavy Breather, and cycle shack pipes. I also have a PV tuner. I am trying to understand if their is any benefit with putting a SE ignition module on. I have read that it increases torque in the low bands. But it was kinda vague. I'm assuming it pushes more fuel in during low rpm, but I have a tuner for that. Any advice and info is appreciated. Thanks. Be safe

There is no advantage to the SE tuner since you already have a PV, which is a better tuner in most people's opinion.

It does nothing to your fuel and has nothing to do with the tuner. It will provide a hotter spark to your spark plugs.

Ok thanks. Performance wise is it much of a difference? It's an easy install so it would just be cost. Just wondering if I should bother.

The SE Ignition module has nothing to do with a hotter spark, that would be the ignition coil's job. The SE ignition module has a different ignition timing map and a higher rev limiter setting, all of which AND MORE is being done by your PV.

In the days of carbs changing the ignition module did have real benefits, as a good aftermarket one replaced the EPA compliant timing curve with a better performance one. cHarley has dealt with the EFI position!
