not to be rude but just to clear things up 03 and down weresolid mount and 04 and up are rubber mount , tire pressure depends on your tire manufactures reccomended pressure and either I have rode an exceptional 2001 sporty with solid mounts and an amazing 04 with rubber mounts or im numb and dont notice the vibration since I use to race thumpers. It appears to me the originator of this thread is new and while all the advise is good the best remedy is to take the bike back to the dealer and have them check it out. and while your there buy the service manual.

Foojay,I had a simmular problem.I had some loose spokes.Everything smoothed out after they were adjusted.
