Default Woodlands TX dealership lol's

So I go into the dealership here in houston to check out the new brake setup on the 14's. I ask a salesman about the new setup and he says "nope, they haven't changed a bit." I said I swear I read they have an all new brake setup. He starts walking over to the 14 Irons and says "see, same as all other years." I could clearly see the calipers look much larger, the rotor was a bit bigger. I just said huh...ok and walked away lol

I go to the parts counter and ask what the pricing would be on the new dual piston calipers ect... Parts guy says "why would you want to buy all that? Its not going to be much of a difference." Im sorry but I would imagine it would be a drastic difference with dual piston calipers, bigger front rotor, stainless lines ect. Needless to say ill probably be upgrading my 2011 brake system soon.

My 07 has two piston front brakes. Are the pads any bigger? Just because the rotor is larger dont mean much unless you have more pad to grab onto it. Factory brakes were fine anyway. Sportsters have the same exact 60-0 stop distance as an R6, and the R6 is a good bit lighter. If they made the brakes even better than that then I can see why ABS might be a good idea. Them tires will lock up just thinking about braking.

even just changing my front line to SS made a difference. Im sure larger rotors and caliper would make a noticible difference

I have michelin commander II's not the stockers. I know those tires respond better to harder braking.

The calipers are much larger, I would imagine the pads are larger too. Im interested in better brake feel as well as stopping power.

I live near the woodlands dealership and have laughed my way out of there several times. I have a small shop, service, powder coating, etc.

It wasn't at the woodlands, but when the first time I went in looking for my sportster my salesman tried selling me one with a 1200 cubic inch engine.

Where did you get your ss lines from? I'd like to upgrade mine, since I'm getting some Lyndall brake pads for Xmas. A least that's what I wrote to Santa about.
