My wife has an 11 SuperLow and she loves it. I think it's a great bike for a new rider and any one who is vertically challenged or just short in the inseam. She has Rush slip ons with 1.75 " baffles that have a great sound, cooled off with an X14IED. The mod she likes the most - the Pigel shift peg extender ...... tolerates the windshield now that I cut it down 3 inches and recently added the quick release luggage rack to carry her own goodies.

 

My concern with a Harley as a first bike (apart from the obvious weight issue) is that you might think all bikes are like this. And they're NOT. I think you need to have ridden other bikes to appreciate just how nice these feel.

 

I had a Superlow, I think its a great first bike. Very dependable, I would zip it up to 80-90 with no problem if I thought there were no cops around , I did a lot of back country road riding with it. Its just a great, fun bike. I'd say go for it. I did get a detachable windshield and one piece detachable sissy bar for it. I also put on a mustache engine guard and put highway pegs on it for stretching out. That was all I needed to do for it. I had a lot of fun on it.
