I put lowering blocks on mine, it did make the ride a little sofer, but if I hit a big bump the bike will bottom out. That does not happen too often. More often when I have a passenger on the back that is over 120 lbs.

Good Mornin jimlowe !!! I have an 06 883Low. I went with the13" Progressive 412 Heavy Duty shocks. I had 11.5" Harley shocks on the bike when I bought it. I soon was like you and wanted the lower stance of the 883 low. I put a set of DK Customs 1" lowering blocks on the Sporty and I love em. I now have the advantage of alot more travel on the shocks and the original look and feel of the 883Low. It was a great move for me.

thanks for that,will put the shocks on and take it from there,but good to hear it will work if I decide to go the lowering route.
