Default Quick Exhaust Question

I was under the impression that if you put new exhaust on, a new air cleaner, that it is reccommended that you put a new tuner on it (powercommander for example)...

Do you have to do the new tuner if you put JUST a new full system exhaust???

New full system exhaust, FACTORY Air Cleaner, is power commander nessacary?

I didn't. But I installed the SE II's, not a full system. But before I changed my A/C I did install a XiED to make the mixture more rich.

My buddy installed the V&H Short Shots on his Iron without a tune and stock A/C.

If you change the exhaust and the air cleaner you're going to have to re-tune. The air-fuel mixture and whatever flow benefits you get from the new exhaust will be too much for the bike to run cleanly without making some adjustments.

Well I still stand corrected, for some reason or another, I though you had to retune the bike with new full system exhaust, even if you didnt upgrade the A/C...

Thank you gentlemen for the heads up.

Even if you upgrade both exhaust and A/C you don't HAVE to get a tuner. You can just get XiED set to make the bike run a little richer.

(Well, here we go again, another can of worms opened and all the na-sayers will be coming out to speak up against the XiEDs)

Hey, look at that, a whole day and no naysayers!

HERE is a link where you can learn more about the XiED's...including some Dyno Charts.

Boy, have things changed! Not that long ago, by now, there would have been at least a dozen or more.
