I have had two mustang wide vintage seats, one on A Nightster with backrest, built for comfort. However, on a Nightster, with light duty, 11.5" shocks stock and weighting 220, putting on 12.5" progressive shocks did a lot for comfort as well. The mustang will be 15.5" wide, I think that's as wide as you will find, it will raise you up of course, I don't remember if it pushed me forward. Saddleman seats look good, just never had a chance to sit on one, they use gel in many seats.

Looking for now to made my own brackets, I've blank put the seat on the bike, it really looks odd, but it should be comfy.

I don't know what the underside looks like but I just made a front bracket for my stock Sportster 72 seat that I'm making into a spring seat with gel insert & leather cover. I used a 6" metal T bracket from the lumber section. Find the center measure then 3 1/2" across the top of T mark & bend 90 degrees measure how far down to drill holes for mounting at rear gas tank bolt then bend & drill mounting holes in shank of t bar to bolt to underside of seat Just get inventive

Default Where did you get your seat?

My 883 has a Harley Pillow Look seat, very comfortable, and finally found one that fit my 1200; problem solved, sit a couple inches farther back, good cushion. Daughter says it's much nicer in second position, too. It's about 4 inches wider in back than the others. Probably won't see one on a show bike, though.

Can you share where you got your seat from? I too am a tall rider and I am looking for an alt seat for my stock seat. thanks.

after several seats on my bike, the only one that had close to unlimited butt time for both me and my +2 was the wide mustang... this one=>

Thanks!

I had to adapt it for a better (lower) fit.

Here some pics of the bracket itself, really easy to do, two springs (from an unknown 1950's bike), some flat iron and some bolts from the DIY store:
