6ft. 2in. comfy on a sportster?
Hey guys, new here. As the title says, I'm a taller guy, 6ft 2in 200 pounds, and I was wondering. Are any of you my size that're riding a sportster? I really like the styling of them but I feel like I'll be too cramped. I am coming from a sportbike, so I'm used to "small and nimble". So that's why I'm considering a sportster, because it would get me more familiar with what an actual cruiser will feel like. My 2nd choice is the softail slim, but I'm not sure I want to spend that much money on my first cruiser. The sportster seems like it'd be a good first "non-crotch-rocket" bike. Any advice or opinions are warmly welcomed, thanks ya'll.

Many answers to this question all over this forum as well as the internet. Comfy and fit is a subjective topic, your best bet would be drive to a dealer and sit on one or even take one for a spin
With that being said I am 6'3" 215 and also just sold a sport bike. I have zero issues with my 48. I have had the bike for 3 weeks and have logged 800 miles on it. I was never comfortable at all on my R1. I absolutely love this bike and wish I had discovered the 48 earlier. My bike has a thread I just started called "black 48"
Good luck

I'm your size, just bought a Nightster. I have mids, installing highway pegs and added a set of 14" apes. Not only am I comfortable, all my buddies say I look awesome on it.
Riding through town and checking myself out in the glass windows to see how it looks, I have to say...pretty awesome.
Do it. I came from sport bikes too

6'1", 185lbs, mid controls, and it suit me perfectly. Do not worry, you will be fine.
It is a motorcycle though, so do not fall by the talks of people that, in the pursuit to feel like in their lazy-boy couch at home, buy the mini-van equivalent of motorcycles.

Thanks for all of the replies everyone. I'm convinced. I'm gonna go test ride one Wednesday and hopefully I'll have it by the end of the week!.. I'm thinking I'll probably want to go with the 1200. I'm just concerned that I'd outgrow the 883 too quick. What do you guys think? Can the 883 get out of it's own way? What about on the highway?

I'm 6'3" 220# the 883 is to small for me,IMHO. I had an 883 Hugger I installed forwards on years ago but it always felt too small. Any of the three 1200 Sportster models would be fine. I chose the 72 because it reminded me of what we road back in the 70's & I love it. My 2001 Softail sits in the garage collecting dust now sorry to say
