Opinion on 75W90 SevereGear
It came time for the 1000 mile service on the wife's 1200C and after some research I decided to use Amsoil SevereGear 75W90 in the primary/transmission. It's the same stuff I use in the tranny on my SG so I figured fewer types of oil on the shelf so I'd give it a shot. Serviced the bike and sent her on her way without really discussing what I did except using Amsoil 20W50 in the engine and 75/90 in the primary/transmission.
After an all day trip I asked her if there was any difference in the way the bike ran. She stated the bike ran cooler and shifted better/quieter. This isn't really a placebo effect since I didn't tell her what she should notice.
Just thought I would pass it along

I've been running Mobil 1 20w50 and 75w90 in my bike with no complaints. I do think it shifts crisper since I started running the gear oil in the primary.
I did just find and Indy in my town that sells Amsoil so next change will probably switch. I've read nothing by good stuff about Amsoil.
