Baffles for stock gutted 96 xl883 exhaust?
After riding my new to me 96 xl883, I noticed that the baffles are cut out of my stock hd exhaust. I have now installed a spike air fliter and jetted to 45 slow and 170 main.
To get max performance should I install baffles into the exhaust to get back pressure?
I have found thunder city universal baffles for 80 bux, but they look so simple, and I worry if they are worthit?
Any other options, or should I just leave it?
I do like the sound.

I have run the Big City Thunder baffles before and while I feel they are overpriced (all they are is an old lollipop baffle that anyone with a welder and 30 minutes can make) they did a great job of restoring the low end torque on my bike.
They don't do **** to quiet down the exhaust, but for torque they work.
My best recommendation to you is to try the ones that DK Products sells because they have dyno sheets to back up their performance and lots of guys on here love them. They are also like $20 when the ones from BCT are like $80.

I think DK does do the occasional sale and contest on facebook and such, but I'm not aware of any standing discount.
All their stuff is high quality and very low price (compared to the competition), so I'm pretty sure that Kevin is NOT getting rich off of these things at these prices.

Hey thanks guys for the reports on how you like them.
These were developed out of frustration for how much exhaust systems cost and how, even when paying big bucks, so much power is left on the table.
At $20-25 they are not a big profit generator. lol But they do make power!
