'seated' = light tension resisting further rotation. Don't overthink it, just follow the video and you'll have it.

you will see the plate tighten as you turn the adjuster counter clockwise. once its snug is where you stop. You will feel resistance increase as well. It will let you keep turning, but this is engaging the clutch, not what you want to do.

Ahhh okaaaay. Turn until the clutch cable wraps around! Geez why not simply say so! (mumble mumble about obscure techspeak confusing the heck outta me... )

Thank you! :-)

My superlow was set the same way, the clutch action was too far out. I had them bring it back on my 1000 check up. Now it engages right where I like it.

@traffic jam, All, after watching the video, the very helpful posts, and the fact that it's a new bike for me, I think I will take it to a trusted local mechanic and have him go through the whole bike, including readjusting the clutch engagement point.

Many thanks! Be safe....

You can do it!

In my opinion, no one can do better work than yourself. You love your machine and will make sure you do it right.

Too many places treat your bike as a number and miss something, or even just scratch your bike or get finger prints all over it.
