Default Question about handle bar swap?

I have a 2006 sportster low. It has the stock 8" handle bars on it so I am told. I had a guy that gave me 12" bars. The question is is there enough of the stock wiring to go up 4" without swaping cables or wires? Or will I need to extend the wires and cables with a kit?
