I took my test at the licensing center as part of the MSF program. They basically make you do and "s" turn in a box, do a swerve manuever, a quick stop and a cornering exercise. (I think that was everything!!) They deduct points for things like crossing over the painted lines or putting your foot down while turning("S" turn), locking up the wheel(s) during the quick stop, etc. They time you thru the cornering test to make sure you're travelling at the proper speed thru the turn. They alsoclosely watch that you use allof your fingers when using the levers and they want you to use bothfront and rearbrakes when coming to a stop, etc. Everything on the test was covered and practiced during the course, so it wasn't that big a deal. There were about 7 people in the class on the day of the test and everyone passed. That being said, a few people in the class before us didn't make it thru. If you're interested in becoming legal, sign up for the MSF course locally. They begin in mid-April here in PA. Good luck!!

I took the MSF course here in WA because, despite practicing on the test course, I couldn't get the through the slalom course without hitting a cone or putting a foot down. I think they made it intentionally difficult to get more people into the safety classes. Some sort of conspiracy, I think...[sm=alien.gif]

I went through the safety class. One thing I can tell you if you have lights out or a loud exhaust you will fail.Any vehicle being used for a divers test has to be street legal at the time of the test. The safety course is well worth the time imo.

I took the MSF Course in PA. No matter how long you've been riding, you'll learn something, you use their "mini bikes", and at the end of the course you get your license. Oh, and it's free.
