Default La Rosa 16 Inch Spring Seat On Sportster?

I've done some searching on here as well as the web and couldn't find a photo of a La Rosa 16 inch spring seat on a sportster. Anybody out there have any they could post or send me? Wondering if it might look a little big vs. their 13 inch seats.

Also, it seems as if a lot of spring seats have a really big void between the frame and seat. I do not like that look at all and was hoping to find a seat and mounting kit that keeps it a little closer to the frame. I plan on using 2 inch scissor springs. I have looked into the Mother Road Customs and La Rosa stuff so far.

Any help/photos would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Funny you mention this. My son was telling me just the other night that he was considering the 16" La Rosa seat for his '02 Sportster, until I asked him to do a small test first...take the seat off his bike and with a tape measure see what 16" looked like in the proper position. After sizing it up/considering it he opted for the bada$$ 13" instead.

My thoughts were that for a saddle seat, 16" was just too long, and apparently he agreed.

And as far as the spacing between the tank and seat...if the shorter saddle seat were placed right up to the tank, you'd be seated too far forward, hence the reason for the space between the seat and tank. Take a look at the stock '48 seat and you'll see a space there too.

Cool

Are you guys aware that the Harley seat IS 16" long?? Looks good to me... but I can see a smaller one looking even better... just wanted to chime in with those details.

My ride with the HD seat (3.3gal tank):

Just the seat (HD seat, LaRosa bags)

Tank in this photo is the 2.1gal
