Default Towing a sporty

Having a lot of trouble finding info I need because of the firewall at work blocking random sites and forums... I guess motorcycle websites get categorized as adult?

I need to get a hitch on my jeep to haul random stuff around... trailer, cargo rack, bike, whatever I may need at the time, but Im just slowly pulling stuff off Craigslist because I'm not in a rush. Do I need at least a class II, or would a class I hitch cut it for a 2012 72?

Edit: In case it matters Ill be pulling it with a 4cyl TJ unlimited, 3" BB lift on 33" tires

Class I are generally rated around 1000 lbs or more, which would be more than enough for bike. And you shouldn't have an issue on the 4-cyl TJ. We tow my bikes with my roommates TJ and it's easy.

Awesome thanks, would a small trailer PLUS the bike exceed though? Ive never had a trailer so I dont know if it'd be just close or too much

If you're talking about a small, open, (landscape type) trailer, you should be fine with a Class 1 hitch. IIRC, they're usually rated at around 1200 lbs.

Yup, that's what I'm thinking, cheap and easy.

You can get TJ class I hitches rated up to 2000lbs. More than enough.
