but yeah from the potos i posted before you could see the rattle can matte clear worked perfect for me --
maybe it was the paint ? or your method

 

It started out fine the first coat or two and then there were just two spots that kept getting a white hue to them on coats three and four! It was bad, was rough to get the headlight opening area to take the paint evenly which may have been part of my issue, uneven paint distribution!

Ah well! Was an adventure! Nothing was permanently ruined! I was panicked at the time though, didn't want to have to replace the damn fairing cause of my mistake but the "goof off" got it off and didn't harm the plastic!

It motivated me to get the other parts painted and finally installed so prolly a good thing! The little additions go a long way though of contributing to the blacked out look!

So much closer to my desired look now!

Throttle and idle cables from Magnum Shielding need to get put on, think they just arrived at the dealership.

Then........ Rims?? Hmmmm........ 1250 or 1250???? Hmmmmm...... Who knows!

And I gotta mess with the wire tuck cause it isn't as good now after the dealership had their hands on my bike! All cosmetic but I notice!
