congrats! my wife wanted to ride after i got my wideglide she wanted me and her to take a msf class which was fun so we found a sweet XL1200C I loved riding that bike she rode very well until she noticed her speed then the back tire would start wobbling from here fear lol scared the hell outta me. She rode like this for a year as an experiment i covered the speedo with masking tape she rode perfect but got a ticket doing 80 in a 55 so tape came and the wobble came back scared her bad 1 night so she decides she will just stay on the backseat which is fine with me little did I know the oldman across the road had made an offer on the bike while i was mowing 1 day. so I was all happy i had 2 sweet bikes come home from work the 1200 is gone I go in ask the wife where it is she says well honey it was my bike i got an offer and took it since i wasnt going to ride it anymore I was aggrevated asked her why she never asked me she said she new i liked it and wouldnt let it go in her defense she did make 1500 profit but damn i miss that bike and the old bastard across the road knows it he revs her up everytime he sees me.

I did something like that once - talked my wife into buying convertible Mercedes AMG.. well, I rode that thing maybe dozen times before she claimed it
However, if that happens to you, you'll have fun riding together

 

Maybe she's been wanting a bike & learn to ride all along so you're not the only one having fun & you just played into her hands, LOL I had similar thing happen. I was out with my wife looking for a small cheap used bike for commuting to work as my Softail is too big & loud & fast! LOL So we were at local import dealer who was an ahole with prices. We left & she says "Hey why don't we check out the Harley Dealer? He's right up the freeway" I say OK. As we walk in she spots a Sportster 72 Hard Candy Metal Flake Red & fell in love with it & said I just had to get that one, so I did. She has no interest in riding just wanted me to be happy. Now that's a good wife!

 

lol thanks guys. yes i am putting her though the MSF class next month. She is wanting to go to Leesburg bike fest next year with me. The reason i talked her into this one was it was new and the Candy Orange is the same color as my RK. i should be bringing it home tomorrow or friday, I moved some stocks around and I am just waiting for the money to hit my account, But the dealership wanted the sale to happen before the end of the month i guess to make them look good.

her father asked me today why in the world i would buy her a bike. I told him because 8k is nothing if that means i get to spend a little more time with her.
