Default Mods and tricks to stock throttle tension star screw.

My stock "throttle star" is my best friend on long trips. However, I would be interested in seeing or hearing any mods, tricks, tips or replacements that would change/improve the turning(twisting the screw) ratio making it possibly a bit smoother and "lock(tighten)" in a smaller amount of turns. Possible a "quick release" as on some guitar drop tuners or bicycle seat adjustment levers etc.....?
Cheers!

Hmmm I don't know much about the housing..... but maybe your screw is falling to the side of the cable maybe? I'm assuming the screw tip rests on the cable (or something pushing on the cable).

I bought one of the Klever Lever things that someone else posted. It fell off after a month when I bumped it wrong.

Now I use one of these instead, with a little bit of blue loctite on the set screw.

My $9 CrampBuster has served me well for many, many years now.

I have one and I keep trying to give it a chance and have never been comfortable using it. Especially in urban traffic.
