RE: Wakeing up the bike
Nope. I just start mine right up. Usually it will take some time to crank over because the fuel in the float bowl has been removed prior to storage. Then it will smoke for a bit because of the fogging oil in the cylinders. After removing the pigtails from the batttery tender my bike is ready.

1. Disconnect spark plug wires
2. Crank the motor till the oil pressure light goes off
3. Connect spark plug wires
4. Turn on the fuel petcock
5. Pull the choke and fire it up
6. Run it hot
7. Ready to ride

I wouldn't have thought about getting the oil pressure up.
But then the only thing I did to winterize my bike was to buy more layers of warm clothes.
