Baffle Swap on Rush pipes

Baffle Swap on Rush pipes
Hey guys, so recently I installed Rush mufflers on my Iron. And while they sound great...I decided they were too loud because I was having headaches after riding and a lot of ringing in my ears. To try and protect my hearing, bought a different set of baffles. SO I am going from the 2.25" baffle down tot he 1.75" baffle, which Rush assured would be considerably quieter, but still have a nice growl.
Anyways, Does anyone have experience with changing the baffles? I know the general procedure, and am confident I can do it no problem. I just want to know if I need to take the mufflers off the bike to change the baffle. Or if it is something I can do with the pipes still on the bike.
Any info is much appreciated.
Thanks

I just repacked my baffles on my Rush mufflers ( they had been on for almost 5 years ) and the baffles came out quite easily. I already had the mufflers off the bike. I would think that you could do it with little/no hassles leaving them on the bike ... However, If there stubborn take care not to get overaggressive and tip/knock the scooter over

I've pulled many out.
Also, on the newer Rush slip-ons, they have a baffle bolt in the front AND the rear of the slip-on.
If it is being stubborn, spray some WD-40 in there and let it sit a bit. Twisting and pulling at the same time helps also. Be careful not to stress the headers at the engine exhaust flange.

But I really dont like to ride without my helmet. Call me not a real "hardcore" harley rider, but I just like the extra safety. So i am hoping the 1.75" baffle lowers the reverberations amount.

Just an update. I swapped the baffles the other day in about 30 mins, including the time for th ride i took to warm the pipes up. Got the bike back in the garage. loosened the baffle mounting bolt, grabbed the crossbeam with clamps pulled the baffle right out.
The front side pipe gave me a little hassle, but I eventually got it, had to loosen the mounting bolts for the actual pipe a bit.
Then slid the new ones in with no problems and bolted them up. Took the bike for a ride. While it is considerably quieter. I actually think its a better sound compared tot he bigger baffle. The exhaust doeskin sound as "lopey" if that makes any sense. And the low end torque actually feels a lot better with the smaller baffle as well.
