Seafoam can't hurt. I use it every other oil change as a matter of course anyway.

4mo old, just ride the bike.. i have had fuel in bikes and boats 1-2 years old. old fuel only really effects small engines like mopeds and chainsaws. it might not be the best performance, but will run just fine till the next fuel up.

Gas that is a few months old is not an issue, just ride it out. Top off with recommended octain level if the tank is not full of the older gas - either way, it's not going to cause a problem for you.

Fuel sits in tanks much longer at the dealers. I'm not saying this is good practice but happens.

If you're really worried about it, just pick up a ten dollar siphon pump at walmart. Works great for oil too, just rinse and re-use

I'd start it and ride the hell out of it to get that old gas out quick as possible.

When I got my current bike it had a gallon of gas in it that sat for a year and a half. I filled it up after I poured a seafoam knock off (smells the same, cant remember what it was, walmart was out of seafoam and they had it instead) in and rode the **** out of it till it was almost empty (about noon the next day). Other than a shot of real bad gas I got at a shopette on a military base she has never had a problem. On a side note the pumps on all military bases say all the gas has 10% ethanol. I think thats a lie since the few times the wife put it in the cage she told me it drives like crap and miles per tank is way down.

BP 93 and I never have a problem, even if it does have ethanol. On the road its BP, Exxon, Shell, Sunoco if I have a choice and it runs fine.

Where did you get this bit if uninformed information? As someone who delivers gasoline to your local station, most require fuel two and sometimes three times a week. Big stations as often as every day. Two to three months hell, they would be out of business dude.

"UnINFORMed IMFORMation?" ummmmm........ yeah....... I was ref'n the tanks at the MC/car dealer, not a gasoline "dealer". I should have said "Auto/MC dealership".
