Looks like a good solution for those of us who would like a backrest (I should have bought the Mustang seat with the built in) but don't want it on the bike all the time.

I realize its pricey (what at the stealer ship isn't?)

I'm gonna call about availability tomorrow and keep you posted.

For long rides I just use a bungee cord over an Alice pack. Works perfectly. Easy to adjust while on the move too.

That looks like an awful steep price for what it is. I have a detachable that looks a whole bunch more solid than that. Dealer threw it in with my purchase.

I'd like to see a picture of yours, if it's made for the rider and not passenger and looks like the one you linked.
