Default Seafoaming the sportster

I decided to try sea foam in my sportster this weekend. I've done it to my car many times with good results but never on a bike. Do I just pour it straight into the carb or still through a vacuum line? Any recommendations on which vacuum line if i should go that route?

why not just figure out the ratio and put it in a full tank of gas? i use it in my boat and pick-up...have not tried it in my bike as we ride year round and the bike does not sit for more than a few days at a time.

I have run it in my gas and some in the oil on an older bike to clean it out. Just mixed some in the gas and pour a little in the oil fill. Its harmless IMO but helpful to clean up the inner workings of most anything.

I use an ounce or two every 1000 miles or so in my fuel for the sporty. I also put 1 ounce in my oil about 20 to 40 miles prior to an oil change.

Lawn mower, car, 2 cycle or 4, I just put a little in everything. I figure it can't hurt and I had an excellent experience with it on my old Ninja. Bike just wouldn't run after a long winter. Once I got it going it still ran like crap two tanks of gas later. Added a big dose of Seafoam on a friends suggestion and 50 miles later the bike was running like it just rolled of the showroom floor. I'm a believer.

If you run the bike year round, why would you need to run Seafoam through it? I've only used it on bikes that have sat for long periods time.

'Seems like cheap insurance to me. For starters it keeps your fuel system [carb jets or injectors] clean and your upper cylinders lubricated. Any carbon on your valves or combustion chambers gets the boot, and lastly it'll keep any moisture you might end up with in your fuel from becoming detrimental. 'Supposed to last 2 years in your fuel!! I try to use a capful with every fill up...it's a petroleum product so it's safe to use all the time. In oil it's like Marvel Mystery oil...I've never used it as such but supposedly it'll help free up noisy lifters, dissolve varnish deposits and light sludge, ie., if you overheated or went a long time without an oil change...

...so at $8 a bottle, who can't afford that for a little peace of mind and a clean fuel system??!!

I find it works best on a hot motor. I will ride 20 miles, add it, fuel up and go ride 120-150 miles. It cleans better than doing a series of shorter trips.

Just an observation that might help yall out.
