Why all the drag bars and drag pipes?

Drag bars have no bend in them whatsoever. I rarely see a HD with drag bars on them in my neck of the woods and there are tons of HDs here. Drag pipes on the other hand are hit and miss. I recently swapped out my bars which are the same as in Johnkos signature which are not drag bars and im not sure what style they are considered either. and installed Bitwell 8" Chumps. Much more comfortable ride now.

One of my favorite thing about a Sporty is it's versatility. It can be a mini touring bike, a bobber, a bar hopper or a chopper-esque bike. If you hang out here long enough you'll see how vastly different they can be. You can put two Sportsters next to each other and be surprised they're both born the same.

Some of the Harley Models you can add parts or take away but they will always resemble the original model - not the sporty!

That's like asking why are there so many "Nightsters" "Forty Eights" and "Customs". It's because guys like them. Me for instance, I really dislike Apes but a lot of people don't so they don't care if I like them or not. I don"t give them any grief about theirs and they don't criticize mine. That's the way it goes.
