Am I too big for a Sportster?

I started on a Nightster, but almost from the start had complaints about cramping. One of the first mods I did was add forward pegs.
I've since bought a Super Glide Custom, and have no problems with cramping and no need for forward pegs. The only "comfort" mod I've done is replace the seat with a Mustang Wide Vintage touring, but that's to be expected.
A Super Glide is very similar to the Sportster, but bigger and thus better-fitting for large folks like ourselves.

You won't be sorry, it's a awesome bike and still pulls well even with my wife on the back.

I'm 5'11", 200 lbs and fit fine on my 72, which has forward controls. Now given, the forwards on a sporty aren't nearly as forward as on a wide glide, for instance. But I like that I can stand up on these if I have to. And there's always the highway peg option.
And lately I've really been looking into this whole "bigger bike" concept. My girlfriend has a softail slim and I don't feel any more stretched out on hers than I do mine. Biggest difference is mine is 100x more nimble. So also in looking into the bigger bike concept, I was noticing that the touring bikes only have an extra 3.5 inches of wheelbase to my 72
so if you're buying new, test ride everything they'll let ya....if used, test ride and maybe get the guy to take pics so you can see if you look like a circus bear or not
on a side note,
I do think it's funny all the guys that insist they need a "bigger bike" and then you go browse the dyna and other forums and find a pretty decent amount of threads regarding reduced reach seats and controls
