i think more importantly than the size of the pillion pad is having a sissy bar... if your passenger can lean back and relax their back and abs and even legs, they're going to be much more comfortable over longer periods.
that being said i have the mustang wide vintage solo and matching pillion pad. i got it from j&p cycles.

Very true about the sissy bar ..I have the burly short with pad ...if I could go back I would have ordered the tall .
