UPDATE on heat issue and decel popping post 2013 883 to 1250 conversion...
i think the old thread has been archived so updating here...
i have a 2013 883 that i converted to a 1250. i have the dynojet autotune pro and was worried about high engine temps (~400) post conversion. i tried about a dozen different maps from different vendors (Hammer Perf., Dynojet, Fuelmoto, etc) and none would curb the temps. i finally tried a map from Mitch on this forum and it seemed to work "the best" in regards to heat but bike was still running 380-390F after 20-30mins. fast forward to now and i finally found a local shop that was certified in Dynojet and was willing to dyno the bike using my tuner. i get the bike back and it runs great, but SAME heat as before. the map they came up with seems to be similar to other maps i tried in the past, and when i say "similar," i mean EXACTLY the same. either he pulled that map from somewhere like i did or the Dyno really did dial it in that way. either way, i'm done worrying about it. i've read on many forums that 400F temps are quite common on the newer Sporty's due to where the sensor is and the design of the EVO. it's fun as hell to ride and i can't be constantly worrying about a problem that may not actually be one...it is taking the enjoyment away. in any case, if anyone wants the map i am using post-Dyno, i'd be happy to share. also, here is the Dyno result:

I could be wrong but your current temps don't seem out of line. Do you know what the temps are at the oil tank?

and yes, i thought about a 2 into 1 exhaust AFTER i had already installed the V&H products. in retrospect, i should have done more research and invested in more performance-geared products but i honestly thought i'd be happy with the original 883 power when i bought the bike. that lasted 2 weeks...

well tbh, it looks like the tuner used a timing table I tried before. i will be calling them on Tuesday to speak with the guy that actually did the tune. i'm curious how the tuner came to that table on the dyno. unfortunately he was not there when i picked the bike up and won't be back until Tues. i don't want to post anything until i'm sure i am not looking at it wrong so i need to clarify.
