The loudest pipes I know are from the idiot running wot at 3am on a residential street 2 or 3 times a week. So glad you "warned" everyone you were around.
If you have a sporty making good power with compression, good flowing heads and some big bump sticks.....they are very loud at idle and at 7000grand....louder than your typical stock bike with pipes....just a thought.
Dont think I ever mentioned power. Nothing wrong with trying to get power out of your harley. But if power is what your after you should look at a different brand. Dont like my pipes? Thats fine........I didnt ask ya.
Any type of hollow metal will be loud. If you want performance as well RB Racing is a good company to look into. 2-1 pipes built for performance, used in racing and wide open. Gives it a bit of a muscle car sound. My friend with vance and hines big radius (same motor) loves my sound. I do too. If you want looks only and don;t like 2-1s than anything you can find that only has baffles at the most.
I don't know about the rest, but i know my V&H Comp 2-1 exhaust is a LOT louder than
the Short Shots that came on the bike when i bought it... much deeper and much louder.
Thinking about getting the 'quiet' baffle for it to placate the neighbors and get more low-end.
Open 2" Drag Pipes. Hands down. My friend had them, and they were LOUD! I could hear him coming about a mile away. He didn't care about performance, but that bike sounded WAAAY Cool when it fired up. I have 1 3/4" drag pipes with 1/2 baffles, and my bike was a lot faster. lol!
