You buy these bars new? I use windex on most of my bike (denim paint suggests it) and some of my chrome and black Burly brand bars. No problems on any of my bikes (Custom rigid, Vstar, Yam Exciter. Of course I use different polishes and cleaners on different surfaces. Windex can damage / dull certain clears and paint.

The bars were new 6 months ago, and have looked / performed great for me so far. I'll send them an email and see what's up. As usual, it's probably 'user error,' hah.
