Anyone know a good place or happen to have a stock Gas tank for an 05 XL883L from a previous upgrade?

Last year(day I bought the bike as some of you may remember), the Sporty took a little tumble down the driveway and put a little dent in the tank and it didn't bother me to much, but now its really starting to get to me and when I went to the dealer, they said it would be like 600+ for the tank without the installation kit. Screw that.

I know theres higher capacaity tanks out there, but I really like the thin look of the stock tank and really don't want a wider one.

 

Well, the chances of you finding a tank the same color as yours are slim. Since would have to get it painted anyway just get a used one off Ebay for cheap or you could actually get an aftermarket sporty tank in any size you wantbrand new for less than $300. Actually, the peanut tank is popular so should should not have a problem finding one for as little as $100 come to think of it. Its getting it painted to patch that'll cost ya uless you do it yourself.

By the way, nice looking bike ya got there... I know it makes you sick to think of a dent in it.
