One dumb ? and reg ?
Hi all since I'm new to HD'S what are they talking about when they say lets see all those 72's 48's and so forth. I have an idea but don't want to sound stupid so I'm asking am I right when I think they are talking about engine size?
Other question is I have a 2008 1200C sportster and would like to know handle bar I can put on to get a higher lift without changing any cables or anything.
Thanks, Joe

72's and 48's are different trims of the sportster. 48 has a peanut tank, fat front tire, and is pretty low slung. The 72 has a skinny front tire, peanut tank(I think) and higher bars. There are many other differences I'm sure, but those stand out most.
They're also named that in tribute to different design cues. 48 pays tribute to 1948 when the first peanut tank was used on a harley

72's & 48's are models in the Sportster family.
Usually you can add 2" taller bars, but search for your year & model specifically. If your C is like my 2011, should have 2.75" rise bars on top of the pullback riser (4.73" rise / 1.13" pullback as per H-D catalog).
Do be careful, as different manufacturers can measure rise differently.
